Observe the lower rear area of the snow thrower to be sure
b o t h c a b l e s a r e a l i g n e d w i t h r o l l e r g u i d e s b e f o r e p i v o t i n g
t h e h a n d l e u p w a r d . S e e F i g . 3 - 1 .

NOIE: Make certain the upper ends of each cable are
seated properly in its bracket.

S e c u r e t h e h a n d l e b y t i g h t e n i n g t h e p l a s t i c k n o b l o c a t e d
o n b o t h t h e l e f t a n d r i g h t s i d e s o f t h e h a n d l e . R e m o v e
and discard any rubber bands, if present. They are for
p a c k a g i n g p u r p o s e s o n l y .
Chute Assembly
1 . Remove wing nut a nd hex screw from chute control assembly
a n d c l e v i s p i n a n d c o t t e r p i n f r o m c h u t e s u p p o r t b r a c k e t .
Position the chute assembly (forward-facing) over the
c h u t e b a s e . S e e F i g . 3 - 2 .
2 . P l a c e c h u t e a s s e m b l y o n t o c h u t e b a s e a n d s e c u r e c h u t e
c o n t r o l a s s e m b l y t o c h u t e s u p p o r t b r a c k e t w i t h c l e v i s p i n
a n d c o t t e r p i n r e m o v e d e a r l i e r . S e e S e e F i g . 3 - 3 .
