Stopping the Engine
W A R N I N G : T o a v o i d u n s u p e r v i s e d e n g i n e
operation, never leave the machine unattended
w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g . T u r n t h e e n g i n e o f f a f t e r
u s e a n d r e m o v e i g n i t i o n k e y
Run engine for a few minutes before stopping to help dry off any
m o i s t u r e o n t h e e n g i n e .

Move throttle control to STOp position.
2.
Remove the ignition key. Removing the key will reduce the
p o s s i b i l i t y o f u n a u t h o r i z e d s t a r t i n g o f t h e e n g i n e w h i l e
equrpment is not in use. Keep the key in a safe place. The
e n g i n e c a n n o t s t a r t w i t h o u t t h e i g n i t i o n k e y .

To Engage Drive
l.
With the throttle control in the Fast (rabbit) position, move
shift lever into one of the six forward (F) positions or two
reverse (R) positions. Select a speed appropriate for the
snow conditions and a pace you're comfortable with.

S q u e e z e t h e d r i v e c o n t r o l a g a i n s t t h e h a n d l e t h e s n o w
thrower will move. Release it and drive motion will stoo.
To Steer
1.
With the drive control engaged, squeeze the right steering
trigger control to turn right. Squeeze the left steering
trigger control to turn left.
Recoil Starter

Push primer three to five (3 5) times, making sure to cover
v e n t h o l e w h e n p u s h i n g . l f e n g i n e i s w a r m , p u s h p r i m e r
o n l y o n c e . A l w a y s c o v e r v e n t h o l e w h e n p u s h i n g . C o o l
weather may require priming to be repeated.
P u l l g e n t l y o n t h e s t a r t e r h a n d l e u n t i l i t b e g i n s t o
resist, then pull quickly and forcefully to overcome the
c o m p r e s s i o n . D o n o t r e l e a s e t h e h a n d l e a n d a l l , .

CAUTION: Operate the snow thrower in open areas
and at slow speeds until you are familiar with the
drive control and comfortable operatinq the
steering controls.
To Engage Augers
To engage the augers and start throwing snow, squeeze the
auger control against the left handle. Release to stop the
a u o e r s .
Replacing
Shear Pins
The augers are secured to the spiral shaft with two shear pins
a n d c o t t e r p i n s . l f t h e a u g e r s h o u l d s t r i k e a f o r e i g n o b j e c t o r i c e
jam, the snow thrower is designed so that the pins may shear. lf
t h e a u g e r s w i l l n o t t u r n , c h e c k t o s e e i f t h e p i n s h a v e s h e a r e d .
