Preparation
T h o r o u g h l y i n s p e c t t h e a r e a w h e r e t h e e q u i p m e n t i s t o b e u s e d .
Remove all doormats, newspapers, sleds, boards, wires and other
foreign objects, which could be tripped over or thrown by the
a u g e r / i m p e l l e r .

A l w a y s w e a r s a f e t y g l a s s e s o r e y e s h i e l d s d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n
a n d w h i l e p e r f o r m i n g a n a d j u s t m e n t o r r e p a i r t o p r o t e c t
your eyes. Thrown objects which ricochet can cause serious
injury to the eyes.

D o n o t o p e r a t e w i t h o u t w e a r i n g a d e q u a t e w i n t e r o u t e r
garments. Do not wear jewelry, long scarves or other loose
c l o t h i n g , w h i c h c o u l d b e c o m e e n t a n g l e d i n m o v i n g p a r t s .
W e a r f o o t w e a r w h i c h w i l l i m p r o v e f o o t i n g o n s l i p p e r y
surfaces.

Use a grounded three-wire extension cord and receptacle
f o r a l l m a c h i n e s w i t h e l e c t r i c s t a r t e n g i n e s .

rock surfaces.

Disengage all control levers before starting the engine.
