Heating water buffer cylinder

Selecting an operating program

There are 3 operating programs available for control-
ling the heating water temperatures in the heating
water buffer cylinder:
"Automatic"
In automatic mode, the average set temperature of
the heating water buffer cylinder is determined auto-
matically via the selected heating curve of the buffer
cylinder. A set value is determined subject to the out-
side temperature and the selected values for level
and slope.
"Manual"
In manual mode, you can specify a fixed value for
the average set temperature of the heating water
buffer cylinder. You can enter this set value in the
"Buffer" menu when manual mode is selected. For
a description, see page 28.
"OFF"
In this operating program, the heating water buffer
cylinder is charged by the boiler. The boiler will
endeavour to achieve the set boiler temperature. The
buffer temperatures have no influence on the boiler
output control.

Setting the time program

You can set these heating times by adjusting the time
program for the heating water buffer cylinder. During
the set time phases, the charging condition of the heat-
ing water buffer cylinder has an effect on the boiler
operation.
Note
If you are using a solar thermal system for central
heating backup, balance the charging times of the
heating water buffer cylinder with the control unit of the
solar thermal system.
The time program for the heating water buffer cylin-
der is made up of time phases. A time phase from
06:00 to 22:00 h every day is set at the factory.
The time program for the heating water buffer cylin-
der is preset to Automatic mode at the factory. In
automatic mode, the time program for the heating
water buffer cylinder is disregarded.
If you don't require automatic mode, you can select
up to 4 individual time phases per day. For each
time phase you select the start and end points.
In the "Extended menu", you can scan the current
time program under "Information" (see page 38).
