Lamp management

This Projector is equipped with 4 Projection Lamps to en-
sure brighter image and those lamps are controlled by
the Lamp Management Function. The Lamp Management
Function detects the status of lamps and shows the status
on screen or on the LAMP REPLACE indicators. This func-
tion also automatically controls the Lamp Mode when any of
lamps is out for the end of life or malfunctions.
LAMP rePLAce Indicator
- When the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights:
Any of the projection lamps is approaching its end
- When the LAMP REPLACE indicator flashes:
The lamp reached its end.
LAMP 1/2/3/4 rePLAce Indicators
- When any of the LAMP 1//3/4 REPLACE indicators lights:
The corresponding lamp is approaching its end.
- When any of the LAMP 1//3/4 REPLACE indicators
flashes:
The corresponding lamp needs to be replaced
Lamp Status display
The lamp status icons as shown right appears on screen
when the projector is turned on or the input source (input 1,
input , Input 3 or input 4) is switched.
You can also check lamp status by using the Information
window.
Lamp Mode changeover
The Lamp mode function automatically changes the light-
ing lamp (Lamp Mode) by detecting the status of lamp.
For example, in 4-lamps mode, if one of the 4 lamps fails,
the projector operates with the rest of the lamps, and the
lamp mode automatically switches to the 3-lamps mode. To
change the lamp mode manually, use the Lamp mode func-
tion. The illustrations shown right are the examples of on-
screen lamp status in each lamp mode.
LAMP rePLAce indicator
LAMP 1/2/3/4 rePLAce indicators
Yellow Lamp
Projection Lamp lights normally.
dim Lamp
Projection Lamp is turned off.
red Lamp
Projection lamp is nearing its end. When the
image becomes darker or the color becomes
unnatural, replace lamp. (LAMP REPLACE in-
dicator lights)
X Mark on Lamp
(LAMP REPLACE indicator flashes.)
Projection lamp is defective or fails to be turned
on. Restart the projector on, and make sure
lamp is on. If this mark still appears, replace
lamp corresponding with number marked X.
4-LAMPS MODE 3-LAMPS MODE
When lamps 1 and 4
are approaching their
ends.
