    The remote control can be used as a wired remote control. Wired remote control helps you use the remote control outside of the operating range (16.4’/ 5 m). Connect the remote control and the projector with the remote control cable (sold separately).

    Installation Lens Shift Adjustment Projection lens can be moved from side to side and up and down with the motor-driven lens shift function. This function makes the positioning of images easy on the screen. The amount of lens shift range varies depending on the lens.

    Basic Operation How to Operate the On-Screen Menu The projector can be adjusted or set via the on-screen menu. The menu has a hierarchical structure, with a main menu that is divided into submenus, which are further divided into other submenus.     Shutter function allows you to completely block out light to the screen. Press the SHUTTER button to close the shutter inside the projector. To open up the shutter, press the SHUTTER button again. Refer to p.66 for detail of setting for the Shutter function.

    Operating with Remote Control Using the remote control for some frequently used operations is advisable. Just pressing one of the buttons enables you to make the desired operation quickly without calling up the On-Screen Menu. SHUTTER button See page 28 for details.     This projector has a Setting menu that allows you to set up the other various functions described below. Press the MENU button to display the On-Screen Menu. Press the Point ed buttons to select Setting and press the Point or the SELECT button to access the submenu items.
  • Page 55 Lower brightness reduces the lamp power consumption and extends the lamp life. It is recommended to use Eco 2 when using the projector continuously over a long period of time. The fan noise becomes louder in Eco 2 than in Eco 1. Select the suitable mode for the used environment.

    Lamp Status Display The lamp status icons as shown right appears on screen when the projector is turned on or the input source (input 1, input 2, Input 3 or input 4) is switched. You can also check lamp status by using the Information window.

    When replacing the lamp because it has stopped illuminating, there is a possibility that the lamp may be broken. If replacing a lamp of the projector which has been installed on the ceiling, you should always assume that the lamp is broken, and you should stand to the side of the lamp cover, not underneath it. Remove the lamp cover gently.

    Additionally, check carefully to ensure that there are no broken shards or pieces of glass around the projector or coming out from the cooling air circulation holes. Any broken shards found should be cleaned up carefully. No one should check the inside of the projector except those who are authorized trained technicians and who are familiar with projector service.

    Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents, or other harsh chemicals might scratch the surface of the cabinet. When the projector is not in use, put the projector in an appropriate carrying case or cover to protect it from dust and scratches.
