TROUBLESHOOTING

The radiator fan motor fails to turn.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Top cover
2. Right side cover
3. Rear fender
1. Check the fuses.
(Main, ignition, main radiator fan
motor, and sub radiator fan motor)
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUS-
ES" on page 8-133.

2. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 8-134.
OK ↓
3. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-129.
OK ↓
4. Check the radiator fan motors.
Refer to "CHECKING THE RADIA-
TOR FAN MOTORS" on page
8-144.
OK ↓
5. Check the radiator fan motor relay.
Refer to "CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS" on page 8-137.
OK ↓
6. Check the coolant temperature sen-
sor.
Refer to "CHECKING THE COOL-
ANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR"
on page 8-144.
OK ↓
7. Check the entire cooling system
wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM" on
page 8-29.
OK ↓
Replace the ECU.
NG →
Replace the fuse(s).
NG →
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.
NG →
Replace the main switch/immobilizer unit.
NG →
Replace the radiator fan motor(s).
NG →
Replace the radiator fan motor relay.
NG →
Replace the coolant temperature sensor.
NG →
Properly connect or repair the cooling sys-
tem wiring.
