3.6 Engaging The Firebox
!
Assemble the shaft & bearing system in the following order:
!
1. Push the thrust bearing over the shaft.
2. Engage the firebox. If firebox is to be locked insert locking plates
before engaging. See over page.
3. Push the second bearing over the shaft.
4. Push the bearing cap over the second bearing.
5. Tighten the first 16mm nut. If necessary back the nut off
slightly until the firebox rotates freely.
6. Tighten the second 16mm nut against the first.
7. Insert the split pin.

NOTE: The bearings are
shipped in the correct order
on the shaft.
Ensure the threaded shaft DOES
NOT KNOCK against the firebox
when engaging.

THIS CAN DAMAGE THE THREAD.

The firebox MUST BE LIFTED
PARALLEL when engaging.
