1. Configuring LAN connection on GL4xxe
1. Before starting configuration, make sure your printer has the Ethernet interface
card installed and the printer is powered on. (Please note, settings are stored on
the printer, NOT on the interface card like our other model printers).
2. Press the "LINE" key to take the printer offline.
3. Scroll down to "ADVANCE MODE" and press
the "ENTER" key.
4. Scroll up to "Admin User" and press the
"ENTER" key. Highlight the option to
"Enable" and press "ENTER". If the display
says "Enter Switch Locked", press the down and
"ENTER" key at the same time to unlock the
menu and then you should be able to press
"ENTER" on "Enable" for Admin User.
5. Press the "FUNCTION" key to bring the menu
up and use the arrow key to select
"INTERFACES" and press the "ENTER" key.
6. If using DHCP, scroll to "ETHERNET
ADDRESS" and press "ENTER". Select
"DHCP" and make sure it is selected to
"Enabled". If you want to set up a static address
for the printer, make sure "DHCP" is set to
"Disabled" then scroll to "ETHERNET
ADDRESS" and press "ENTER". The next
steps will guide you through a static address setup.
