  • Page 3 1. Configuring LAN connection on GL4xxe 1. Before starting configuration, make sure your printer has the Ethernet interface card installed and the printer is powered on. (Please note, settings are stored on the printer, NOT on the interface card like our other model printers).
  • Page 4 7. Select “IP Address” and press “ENTER”. Press “ENTER” two more times to start configuring the first set of numbers for your IP address. Use the up and down arrows to select your numbers. After the first set of numbers are configured, use “ENTER” to continue to the next set of numbers and repeat the process until your IP address is set.
  • Page 5 2. Configuring Wireless LAN connection on GL4xxe 1. Before starting configuration, make sure your printer has the Wireless Ethernet interface card installed and the printer is powered on. (Please note, settings are stored on the printer, NOT on the interface card like our other model printers).

  • Page 7 WEP SECURITY SETUP If you are using WEP Security, scroll to “WEP Key 1” (or whichever key is set on your network), and then scroll to “Key Format”. You will need to select if your WEP key is being used in “ASCII” format, or in “Hexadecimal” format.
  • Page 8 13. When you are finished configuring your wireless security, press the “FUNCTION” key and go back to “INTERFACES” again. 14. Scroll through the list until you see “Printer Mgmt.” and press “ENTER”. Select “SNC PORT” and press “ENTER” again. 15. Make sure your SNC Port is set to “Ethernet” and press “ENTER”.
