This is very dependant on the types of paper being scanned, when scanning documents with tonner that has not fused well or have ink, the scanner may require more frequent cleaning.

Using the same lint free cloth moistend with F1 clean the Glass(4), Plastic Rollers(6) and Ultrasonic Sensor(7).

EPLACING THE... - Page 8 fi-71 0/fi-72 ONSUMABLE EPLACEMENT AND LEANING NSTRUCTIONS Open the sheet guide by lifting the tab Rotate the bushing on the shaft to release the pick shaft Lift up the shaft in direction 1 (about 5mm), and slide the shaft in direction 2 to pull out the leading end from the slot, then lift the shaft in direction 3 to remove it.
- Page 9 fi-71 0/fi-72 ONSUMABLE EPLACEMENT AND LEANING NSTRUCTIONS Remove the two Pick Rollers from the shaft one at a time. Pull out the pick roller from the shaft as you lift the retaining clip. Pull out the other pick roller from the shaft as you lift the retaining clip.

Insert the retaining clip of the pick roller into the slot Insert the retaining clip of the other pick roller into the slot. Re-install the pick shaft by inserting the left end into the slot, and gradually lower the other end.

Close the ADF and attach the ADF paper chute (feeder) by inserting the tabs into the slots on the back of the scanner in the direction of arrow 1, and tilt in the direction of arrow 2 until it locks into place.
- Page 12 fi-71 0/fi-72 ONSUMABLE EPLACEMENT AND LEANING NSTRUCTIONS Replacing the Brake Roller Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute (feeder) Pull the ADF release tab towards you and then open the ADF Remove the Brake Roller Hold both ends of the cover and open it in the direction of the arrow. Lift the right side of the roller first, then pull out the shaft from the slot on the left.
- Page 13 fi-71 0/fi-72 ONSUMABLE EPLACEMENT AND LEANING NSTRUCTIONS Remove the Brake Roller from the shaft. Install the new Brake Roller on the shaft. Insert the protrusion on the shaft into the slot on the roller hub.
