Regular maintenance and inspections can
help extend the life of your outdoor furnace
and prevent high-cost repairs. This table is
meant to serve as a general guideline until
you become acquainted with how the outdoor
furnace operates with your specific application.
Broadcast Ashtrol in firebox.
Check water level.
Remove ash.
Scrape firebox door frame; use cleaning rod in ash.
Inspect firebox door seal.
Inspect and lubricate door latch bushings.
Inspect chimney.
Check vent cap.
Inspect heat exchanger.
Inspect Reaction Chamber.
Inspect secondary air charge tube and refractory.
Inspect firebox and firebox ash area.
Inspect and clean combustion air outlets.
Inspect and clean the combustion fan and inlet screen.
Oil the combustion fan.
Check pH and nitrite levels of water.
Inspect and service gas burner.
Inspect primary combustion air elbow.
Grease bypass door handle.
Perform a complete firebox cleaning.
NOTE: Check daily for build-up of creosote in the lower corners and around the air outlets until
experience shows how often cleaning is necessary.

When new, after three months, then every six months thereafter.
