SpectraLink Corporation Installation Link WTS – Link 3000 MCU Shelf Shelves are designed for 19 inch rack or wall mounting. Each shelf has 12 universal card slots. The first two slots are reserved for controller cards, the remaining ten slots are for Interface Modules. Wiring to each card is on the front panel.
SpectraLink Corporation Installation Link WTS – Link 3000 MCU connects the network, converting RJ-21 connections from the System Controller to the RJ-45 connection on the Shelf Controller. 2.2. Base Stations Radio Base Stations,or cells, provide the communication channel between the MCU and the Wireless Telephone.
The system uses a proprietary software program for administration and maintenance. The software is loaded to the Operator’s Console, an IBM-compatible personal computer, located close to the Link 3000 MCU. The PC is used to register each Wireless Telephone and Base Station, enter user information, monitor system operations, and initiate remote diagnostics.
An IBM-compatible PC is available to serve as the Operator’s Console for system administration. A system administrator is designated for the SpectraLink system. This person should be present for the installation. The SpectraLink installer will provide system training to the system administrator on the day following the installation.
