  • Page 4 This alarm system is operated by the original high security remote control described in the car’s owner’s manual. To programme extra remote controls consult your Toyota authorised retailer. The alarm system can only be armed and disarmed with the original car remote control. The protection of your car is assured by interior movement and perimetric sensors.

    1. PIN code If the alarm system has been installed in your vehicle, you did receive from the authorized retailer a card (credit card size) with a PIN code (Personal Identification Number) consisting of 4 numbers. The PIN code is used to deactivate the alarm system in case the remote control stops working. It will also be used by your authorised dealer to change your system configuration.

    2. Arm / Disarm LOCK (Arm) UNLOCK (Disarm) The alarm system will be armed when you lock the car, and disarmed when you unlock the car using the remote key. 2.1. To ARM the alarm system Important: To prevent false alarm, check that there is no one in the car, and that all windows and sliding roofs are closed before locking the car (see how to deactivate the interior intrusion sensor in paragraph 2.4).

    2.4. Arm without intrusion sensor If you have to lock the car with somebody inside (passenger, children, dog, …), or if you want to leave the window open, you must deactivate the intrusion sensor. Arm without additional sensors For example, if you have an inclination sensor, you need to deactivate it when you are travelling by boat or train, or if you are parking in a car park served by lifts.     3. Features As well as the alarm function, some extra features are available which can be activated/deactivated. To activate or deactivate any of them, please contact your authorised retailer. 3.1. Door ajar warning This option is enabled as default. If any door or the boot is opened when the lock button is pressed, the buzzer will sound for 10 times.

    3.3. Ignition Controlled door lock This option is disabled as default. To enable it, please contact your authorised retailer. When you turn the ignition key ON, the system will lock the doors. The alarm system will unlock all doors when the ignition is turned OFF. 3.4.

    3.5. Alarm memory If the alarm went off during your absence, the hazard lights will flash 5 times when the doors are unlocked, and the buzzer will sound 5 times. The system memorizes the last alarm causes. They can be identified counting the number of flashes of the LED before switching the ignition ON.
