PROBLEM
Coffeemaker does
not turn on.
Coffeemaker
is leaking.
The brew basket
overflows.
Coffee sediment in
brewed cup of coffee.
The coffeemaker
brews slowly.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Coffeemaker is not
plugged in.
Water reservoir may be
overfilled.
Cover may not be
correctly placed on
carafe.
Carafe may not be
correctly placed on the
carafe plate.
The carafe has been
removed for longer than
20 seconds when using
the Sneak-A-Cup™ feature.
Excessive amount of
coffee is used.
The paper filter and/or
the brew basket are not
properly placed.
The coffeemaker needs
cleaning.

SOLUTION
Make sure appliance
is plugged into a
working outlet.
Make sure water
reservoir has not
been filled beyond
the 12-cup line.
Make sure cover is
correctly placed and
tightened on carafe
Make sure carafe is
placed securely onto
the carafe plate.
Make sure to replace
the carafe within 20
seconds during the
brewing cycle.
Reduce the amount
of coffee used.
Insert basket-shaped
paper filter into brew
basket and insert
basket properly into
holder.
Follow the instructions
in the "Descaling with
Vinegar" section.
