Certain special features are described in this section. As these features are usually
programmed by the telecom administrator, only instruction on how to use them are given
here.
For M 401 terminals:
The M 401 terminal only has one programmable key, which can be assigned to one function.

MONITORING (ALSO KNOWN AS "KEY SYSTEM" FUNCTION)
The monitoring function lets you monitor a group of extensions or possibly external lines,
in order to:
•
determine the status of the extension(s) you monitor (free, ringing, busy),
•
pick up calls from the extension(s) you monitor by pressing the flashing
programmable key,
•
make direct calls to the monitored extension(s) by pressing the corresponding
programmable key.
Note:
For each monitored extension, a programmable key with status indicator light must be programmed.
