4 Replacement Procedures

Installing the Logic Upper Assembly

Install the logic upper assembly according to the following procedures.
1. Seat the logic upper assembly to the front of the laptop, and adjust to the correct position.
2. Turn the laptop right side up. Connect the Bluetooth and TouchPad cables to the
motherboard and secure five M2.5x6 screws.
3. Seat the LCD module in the correct position and secure it with two M2.5x6 screws.
4. Route the CMOS cable, microphone cable and antennas to the routing channel. Connect
the LVDS cable, CMOS cable and microphone cable to the motherboard.
5. Close the laptop. Secure the LCD module with two M2.5x6 screws on the back side.
6. Turn the laptop upside down and secure the logic upper assembly with six M2.5x6 and
two M2.5x4 screws.
NOTE: Take extra care in routing cables and antennas on Logic upper assembly. Improperly
routed cables can become pinched or damaged and cause malfunction.
