SPECIFICATIONS
The microphone shall be a dynamic cardioid
type designed for lead vocal stage use.
It shall have a rugged metal body and a
shock-mounted capsule and shall include
a hum compensating coil.
The frequency response shall be 40 Hz –
16,000 Hz and the sensitivity (free field, no
load) shall be 2.7 mV/Pa at 1 kHz. The nomi-
nal impedance shall be 350 , with a min.
terminating impedance of 1 k .
The microphone shall provide a 3-pin XLR
connector. Dimensions shall be 48 x 180 mm
(1.89" x 7.09"). Weight without cable shall
be 330 grams (11.64 oz). The microphone
shall be the Sennheiser e 835, the variant
with a silent ON/OFF switch shall be the
Sennheiser e 835 S.
Lead vocal stage mic, designed to perform under pressure
The e 835
is a cardioid lead vocal stage microphone specially designed to
perform under pressure. Its balanced frequency response maintains signal quality
when moving on and off axis during performance.
The gentle presence boost ensures vocal clarity
and projection. The minimal proximity effect
provides for consistently clear bass-end perfor-
mance when singing closer to, or further from
the microphone. The cardioid pick-up pattern
provides excellent feedback rejection, enabling
the microphone to handle higher sound pressure
levels. The rugged metal construction and internal
damping isolates handling noise. The e 835 S
variant features a silent ON/OFF switch.
