this was the function to read the IOByte at address

Because the device assignment mechanisn has been substantially
changed
under EOS

the IOByte is no longer supported and the function became
free for other purposes.

Auxiliary device is checked if it has a character ready for
input.
If so, A is set to 1, otherwise to

Normally,
the
Auxiliary
device is defined as
serial
interface.
The
definition, however, may be changed arbitralily.
