fortSenset Model L7742U thermostat must be configured to properly

From the OPTIONS screen, select INSTALLER SETTINGS. Scroll to
HUMIDITY SETTINGS and press ENTER; select DEHUMIDIFY.

Set the dehumidification setpoint; then press SAVE.

user has control of the dehumidification setting.
