Lower Oven Section
Wire Harness
A ribbon connector is used to connect the touch
control board to the display head. The ribbon has
eighteen carbon traces (conductors) that transfer
the signals from control board connector P1 to
display head connector J3 (see the illustration). The
number four (#4) trace is not used.
One end of the ribbon connector has an indexed
edge so that it can be inserted into the touch
control board socket P1 only one way.
The other end of the ribbon connector that goes to
the display head has no markings and is not indexed.
This end will be connected properly as long as the
ribbon connector is not reversed or twisted. If it is,
an F7 error will appear on the display.
