Remaining water will
flow out of the ther-
moblocks while
removing the hoses.

7.4.7 Replacing thermoblocks and NTC temperature sen-
sors
A defect thermoblock can only be replaced with an assembly consisting of:
-
thermoblock cover (upper or lower part of encapsulation),
-
thermoblock,
-
pre-wiring with NTC temperature sensor and thermo fuse(s).

Replacing thermoblocks
•
Remove steam valve (821) for better access to top latch of thermoblock cover.
•
Pull fluid connection clip and remove outlet valve (61, only for Maestria) from steam
thermoblock (810).
•
Remove all wires from cable guides on top cover (810).
•
Loosen 2 fixing screws (TX 10) on top cover.
•
Release 2 latches with screwdriver and remove cover with steam thermoblock (810).
•
Remove electrical connections and hoses from defect steam thermoblock or replace
NTC temperature sensor (47).
To replace coffee thermoblock (809):
•
Remove electrical connections and hoses from defect coffee thermoblock.
•
Loosen 2 screws (TX 10) and remove coffee thermoblock with bottom cover (809).
•
Now the NTC temperature sensor (29) can be replaced.
Assembly checkpoint
•
Tighten the new NTC temperature sensor and spring ring with a torque wrench (for
max. torque see "Repair and mounting tips" on page 40).
