  • Page 5 After turning on your TV, it may take a while (1 minute or less) before the picture appears. When the projection lamp wears out, the screen goes dark. Replace the lamp with a new Sony XL-2400 replacement lamp (not supplied). How to replace the lamp, see page 5. Warning The light emitted from the lamp is quite bright when your TV is in use.
  • Page 6 Take the new lamp out of the box. Use a Sony XL-2400 replacement lamp (not supplied) for Do not touch the glass portion of the new replacement. Use of any other lamp may damage the projection TV.

Summary of Self-Diagnosis Function - This device includes a self-diagnosis function. - In case of abnormalities, the POWER/STANDBY indicator automatically blinks. It is possible to predict the abnormality location by the number of blinks. The Instruction Manual describes blinking of the POWER/STANDBY indicator.
