“boomy”, obscure higher frequencies, and possibly cause damage. S1.8T Location S1.8T speakers are freestanding units that are designed in such a way that the tweeter will be at ear level when the audience is sitting. The tweeter reproduces high-frequency audio which our ears perceive as most directional, so we are most attuned to their level and placement.
Carpet spikes are not required with the S1.8T. However, they have been provided if you would prefer to use them. Should you choose to do so, lay the S1.8T on its back side, then screw the carpet spikes into the threaded holes under the base of each speaker.
Speaker Information S4X™ Crossover The heart of Induction Dynamics is found in the S4X Super Fourth-Order Crossover. The patented S4X inductively couples crossover coils and optimizes each driver’s performance, individually and interactively with the other drivers. This greatly increases control over driver range, frequency response, phase and impedance.
