Quick Start Installation Guide
INTRODUCTION
This quick start guide contains information about how to install and configure the v4.4 Audio-
Codes™ MP-104 Gateway. This gateway is the latest version that is available through the
Inter-Tel

SYSTEM DATABASE PROGRAMMING
The IPRC firmware version determines how Axxess is programmed to support the gateways.

Loop Current: 20mA, preferably down to an 18mA loop current (25 to 45mA may not
suffice and will increase the risk of poor audio).
Line Voltage: 24 to 48vdc. Must pass the test called out in EIA/TIA-464B 4.1.2.3.3
(generally 42.5V ~56.5V).
Ring Voltage: 40 to 150 vac ring voltage 20 to 30 Hz. Must pass the requirements
called out in EIA/TIA-464B 4.1.2.2.5 (generally 55~130Vrms for Class A;
40~130Vrms for Class B).
Db Levels: At least +3dBm without distortion into a 600 ohm load. Must pass the
transmission requirements called out in Section 5 of EIA/TIA-464B.

    AudioCodes MP-1xx Media Gateway Fast Track Installation Guide. The MP-104 on a v8.1 or later system with a v8.2.x or later firmware IPRC supports the peer- to-peer (P2P) audio feature. This feature allows certain IP and SIP devices to transmit and receive audio directly with each other.

For details, refer to the pages shown in parentheses in each step. To install the MP-104: Unpack the box and check the parts list to make sure nothing is missing from the shipment.
  • Page 4 Plug in the AC power cord and connect the DC power supply. The green lamps on the LAN and Ready light-emitting diodes (LEDs) light. For details on LED indicators, refer to the MP-104 User’s Manual & Installation Guide. The back view of an MP-104 is shown below.
  • Page 5 Programming the IPRC IP address in the .ini file provides a more reliable Call Agent ID setting for the MP-104, when files are loaded via the TFTP server. If not modified in the .ini file, this value is overwritten every time the MP-104 files are reloaded during a reset, using the value in this file.

This Client Configura- tion dialog allows the client (AudioCodes MP-104 gateway) to connect to the server application for code and configuration updates.   • Page 10 Once the BootP Client is set up, configure the MP-104 in the AudioCodes Web administrator. To configure the MP-104: Open the Web browser and enter the IP address of your MP-104 gateway in the Address field. Then, press ENTER. The following home page appears.
