IPFM Installation Tips

IPFM is provided with pre-install checks script that will greatly simplify the installation process.
Run the pre-install checks script and resolve the errors indicated in the log.
Following are some Tips & Tricks around IPFM installation.
6.3.1 User cannot access UCM / IPFM Login page in browser
Make sure IPFM services and other dependent services are all running in proper manner.

In Red Hat Enterprise Linux Platform, open a console window and invoke the
following commands.
For each of the above commands there will be a valid process running. If some process is not
running then further investigation will be needed in that specific area.

In case of RHEL platform make sure that user has "/var" and "/tmp" directory with
"write" permission.

In Windows 2003 Enterprise Server SP2 Platform, open Windows Service Panel by
clicking:
"Start  Programs  Administrative Tools  Component Services"
"Start  Programs  Run  type services.msc  Ok"
Make sure all of the following services are running.
If some process is not running then further investigation will be needed in that specific area.
ps -ef grep | jbossd
ps -ef grep | collector
ps -ef grep | mysql
ps -ef grep | LSM
