BATTERY
(Refer to the maintenance precautions on
page 50).
If the motorcycle is operated with
insufficient battery electrolyte, sulfation
and battery plate damage will occur.
If rapid loss of electrolyte is experienced,
or if your battery seems to be weak,
causing slow starting or other electrical
problems, see your authorized Honda
dealer.
* The battery contains sulfuric acid
(electrolyte). Contact with skin or
eyes may cause severe burns.
Wear protective
clothing
and a
face shield.
- If electrolyte gets on your skin'
flush with water.
- If electrolyte gets in your eYes,
flush with water for at least 15
minutes
and call a physician
immediately.
* Electrolyte is poisonous.
- If swallowed,
drink
large quan'
tities
of water or milk and fol'
low with
milk
of magnesia or
vegetable
oil and call a PhYsi'
clan.
* KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHIL.

* The battery
gives off exPlosive
gases; keep sparks, flames, and
cigarettes
away.
Provide

when charging
or using the battery

closed space.
