PCL Emul Menu

Use the PCL Emul Menu to change printer settings that only affect jobs using the PCL emulation printer language.
Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings.
Menu item
Purpose
A4 Width
To select the width of the logical page
for A4 size paper.
Auto CR after
To specify whether the printer
automatically performs a carriage
LF
return after a line feed control
command.
Auto LF after
To specify whether the printer
automatically performs a line feed after
CR
a carriage return control command.
Font Name
To choose a specific font from the
specified font source.
Font Source
To determine the set of fonts displayed
in the Font Name menu item.
Lines per Page
To determine the number of lines that
print on each page.
Orientation
To determine how text and graphics
are oriented on the page.

The font name and font ID for all fonts
in the selected font source are
displayed. The font source
abbreviation is R for resident, F for
flash, K for disk, and D for download.
Displays all fonts resident in printer
RAM when the printer ships from the
factory.
Displays all fonts downloaded to
printer RAM.
Displays all fonts stored in flash
memory.
Displays all fonts available to the
printer from all sources.
The printer sets the amount of space
between each line (vertical line
spacing) based on the Lines per Page,
Paper Size, and Orientation menu
items. Select the correct Paper Size
and Orientation before changing Lines
per Page.
Prints text and graphics parallel to the
short edge of the paper.
Prints text and graphics parallel to the
long edge of the paper.
