NORMAL RECORDING
Setting the Mode at the End of the Tape
In the (SET UP 3) menu, you can set the mode of the
VCR mode when the tape reaches the end during
recording.

Press the MENU button until the (SET UP 3) menu
is displayed.

Turn the JOG dial, until the "TAPE END MODE"
setting is flashing.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring, to set the desired mode.
X Setting when not using Autorepeat recording.
REW . . . . . . . Rewinds the tape to the
beginning, then goes to stop
mode
STOP . . . . . . Goes to stop mode
EJECT . . . . . The cassette is ejected
X Setting when using Autorepeat recording.
REPEAT1 . . . Autorepeat recording mode is
automatically canceled if there
was an alarm trigger
REPEAT2 . . . Autorepeat recording mode is
active even if there was an alarm
trigger

Press the SEARCH/AUDIO ON button to save the
setting.
Recording Check
The image being recorded can be checked.

During recording, press the PLAY (REC CHECK)
button.
Y The tape will be rewound and then played
back. The VCR will then return to the previous
recording mode.
NOTE:
X During recording check operations, recording is
suspended momentarily.
Clog Detection
This VCR is equipped with a clog detection function.
The recording quality is monitored automatically. When
the heads are dirty and the recording quality
deteriorates, the output at the WARNING OUT terminal
becomes 0V (Low), the "m" indicator flashes on the
digital display, and the buzzer sounds.
If in the (SET UP 3) menu, CLOG DETECT. is set to
"N", the recording quality is not monitored.
NOTES:
X To cancel the "m" indicator display and reset the
WARNING OUT terminal output, press the STOP
button.
X Clog detection is not possible if recording in 3-hour
mode.
