Breather Tube Routing
The battery is located behind the left side
cover.
1. Remove the left side cover (page 72 ).
2. With the motorcycle in an upright
position on a firm, level surface, check
the battery electrolyte level marks on
the side of the battery. The level should
be between the upper and lower level
marks.

(1) battery breather tube
After checking the battery electrolyte level,
or adding distilled water, make sure the
breather tube ( I ) is connected to the
battery breather outlet. The battery
breather tube must be routed as shown to
allow proper breathing. Do not bend or
twist the breather tube.
