If You Have a Flat Tire
•
Be sure
the
splines
on
the
wheel hub
fit
into the
final gear
case.
•
While installing
the
wheel,
carefully
fit
the brake
disc between
the
brake
pads
to
avoid
damaging the pads.
•
Before installing
the
muffler,
replace
the
muffler gasket with a
new
gasket.
2. Tighten
the
nuts
and
bolts to the
specified
torques:
axle holding bolt:
20 lbf-ft (26 N·m , 2.7 kqf-rn)
axle
nut:
65 lbfft (88 N·m , 9.0 kqfrn)
exhaust pipe joint
nut:
17 lbf-ft (23 Nvrn , 2.3 kqf-rn)
muffler mount bolt:
25
lbf-ft
(34 N·m , 3.5 kqfrn)

Before
tightening the axle holding bolt,
tighten
the axle
nut
to
prevent
misalignment.
If a
torque
wrench
was
not used for
installation,
see
your
Honda
dealer as
soon
as
possible to verify
proper
assembly.
Improper
assembly may
lead
to loss of braking capability.
3.
After
installing the
wheel,
apply
the
brake several
times.
Check for free
wheel rotation after
the brake
is
released.
Recheck
the
wheel if the brake
drags or
the
wheel
does
not rotate freely.
