If You Have a Flat Tire
2.
Align
the
index line
(
I)of
the axle
shaft with
the
recessed
surface (2) of
the
fork
leg.
LEFT FRONT
(1) index line
(2) recessed surface
3. Tighten the axle pinch
bolts
on
the
left
fork
leg
to the specified
torque:
15Ibf·ft(21
N·m,2.1 kqfrn)

4. Tighten
the axle
bolt
to the
specified
torque:
43 lbf-ft (59 N·m , 6.0 kqf-rn)
5. Operate the
front
brake
and pump
the
fork
several
times.
Check for free
wheel rotation after
the brake is
released. Recheck the
wheel if
the
brake
drags or the
wheel
does
not
rotate freely.
6. Tighten
the axle
pinch
bolts
on the right
fork
leg to the
specified torque:
15 lbf-ft (21 Nrn , 2.1 kqf-rn)
If
a torque
wrench
was
not used for
installation,
see
your
Honda
dealer
as
soon
as possible to verify
proper
assembly.
Improper
assembly may
lead
to
loss of
braking capability.
