2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or other flat surface. Hold the sides of your computer and
gently lay it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Removing and installing the computer stand" on page 73.
4. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 76.
5. Remove the U-shaped stand. See "Removing and installing the U-shaped stand" on page 77.
6. Remove the hard disk drive. See "Replacing the 3.5-inch hard disk drive or hybrid hard disk drive" on
page 81 or "Replacing the 2.5-inch solid-state drive or hybrid hard disk drive" on page 83.
7. Remove the optical drive. See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 85.
8. Remove the converter board. See "Replacing the converter board" on page 86.
9. Remove the system board shield. See "Removing and installing the system board shield" on page 88.
10. Remove the rear I/O assembly. See "Replacing the rear I/O assembly" on page 89.
11. Remove the internal speakers. See "Replacing the internal speakers" on page 92.
12. Remove the VESA mount bracket. See "Removing and installing the VESA mount bracket" on page 93.
13. Remove the power supply assembly. See "Replacing the power supply assembly" on page 94.
14. Remove the microprocessor fan. See "Replacing the microprocessor fan" on page 96.
15. Disconnect the LCD-panel cable from the system board.

16. Note the cable routing and disconnect other cables that might prevent your operation. Then, disconnect
the cables from the system board.
