∫ If noise is excessive
Press [FM MODE].
Each time you press the button:
FM: Changes between stereo and forced monaural.
"ST" (stereo) or "MONO" (monaural) lights up in the display.
AM: BP1 ) BP2 ) BP3 ) BP4 (BPlBeat Proof)

Select between BP1 and BP4 that receives good reception.
The FM mode is cancelled when you change the frequency.

Preset tuning

Preset channels to make selection simple.
Up to 30 stations can each be set in the FM and AM bands.
Automatic presetting

Press [FM/AM] to select the "FM" or
"AM".

Press [6] or [5] to tune to the
frequency where you want to begin
presetting.
Set the channel reception to FM 87.50 MHz or AM 522 kHz if
you want automatic presetting to start from the lowest
frequency.

Press and hold [ENTER].
Release the button when "AUTO FM" or "AUTO AM" is lit on
the display.
The tuner presets the stations it can receive into the channels
in ascending order.
≥"SET OK" is displayed when the stations are set. The last
station to be set is then played.
≥The unit of display is MHz for FM radio and kHz for AM radio when
the selector is in FM/AM mode.
≥"ERROR" is displayed
Presetting was unsuccessful. Preset manually.
Manual presetting

Tune to the station (➡ 32).

Press [ENTER].

While "MEMO" is flashing on the display
Press the numbered buttons or
[W X CH] to select a channel and
press [ENTER].
[0] ➡ [2]
e.g., "2":
"12": [1] ➡ [2]
The station occupying a channel is erased if another station is preset
in that channel.
Selecting channels

Press [FM/AM] to select the "FM" or
"AM".

Press the numbered buttons or
[W X CH] to select the channel.

If there is nearby electrical interference during auto tuning the
frequency may come to a halt without locating a channel. Turn off the
power of the nearby electrical equipment.
∫ Use FM outdoor aerial if radio reception is poor.
≥Disconnect the FM indoor aerial.
≥The aerial should be installed by a competent technician.

≥Disconnect the outdoor aerial when the unit is not in use.
≥Do not use the outdoor aerial during an electrical storm.

RDS broadcasting

The unit can display the text data transmitted by the radio data
system (RDS) available in some areas.
If the station you are listening to is transmitting RDS signals, "RDS"
will light up on the display.
Press [RDS].
