Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Product Inventory
Before proceeding, ensure that the CD820 package contains the
items listed below.
CD820 camera
Self-tapping screws (x3)
Plastic screw anchors (x3)
Security TORX
CD (manuals
Quick start guide
and search tool)

Step 4: Accessing the Camera
The internal settings of the CD820 can be accessed directly via a
web interface.
Use only Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
The IP camera's default IP address is printed on a label located on
the bottom of the camera.
The default logon user name and password are Admin / 1234. Both
are case sensitive.
To access the camera's internal settings
Type the camera's IP address in your web browser's URL field.

To properly view the camera's web pages
Install the Siqura Viewer add-on.
Enable Active X controls.

Step 2: Wall or Ceiling Installation
The CD820 can be installed directly on a wall or ceiling.
Ensure that the provided surface has sufficient strength to
support the camera.
Check that there is adequate access to an IEEE 802.3af power
sourcing equipment (PSE) enabled network.
Step 1: Remove the dome housing
Use the Security TORX to
unscrew the housing cover

Use the Device Search application to discover and change the
camera's IP address. DeviceSearch.exe can be found either on the
supplied CD or at www.siqura.com. This application will detect and list all
the Siqura IP fixed cameras found on the network.
To explore your network for installed devices
1.
Start the Device Search application.
2.
Click the
Device Search
If a security alert window displays, click

Right-click a device and select
internal settings via a web interface.

Step 2: Mount the camera

supplied screws and

Step 3: Powering Up
The CD820 uses Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 12VDC. Use Cat 5
Ethernet cable to connect to hub, switch or PC. This outdoor camera has a
waterproof connector.
To power the CD820 via PoE
1.
Connect one end of the cable to the camera's RJ-45 connector.
2.
Connect the other end to an appropriate PSE network connection.
3.
Reattach the dome housing to the camera.
4.
Connect the Ethernet cable to a M12/RJ-45 waterproof switch.

To power the CD820 via 12VDC
Connect the power cable to pins 3 and 4 of the camera's M8 connector as
shown in figure 4.
Step 6: Establishing the Network Property
To change the camera's network property
1.
In the
application, right-
Device Search
click the camera and select
.
Network Setup
2.
Click to select either the:
check box, and record the
DHCP
camera's MAC address for future
identification.
OR
check box, and enter the
Static IP
,
camera's IP address, subnet mask
default
, and
in the
gateway
DNS servers
appropriate boxes.
3.
Click
to confirm the new settings
Apply
and wait for one minute before searching
for the camera using Device Search.

A DHCP server must already be installed on the network
in order to apply DHCP network support.
