Freshwater System

• ONLY use safe drinking (potable) water in your boat's freshwater system.
• ONLY use FDA approved "drinking water safe" hoses when filling the freshwater tank.
• NEVER use common garden hoses for drinking water.
• Read the Freshwa-
ter System section in
the Cruiser & Yacht
Owner's Manual.
• The freshwater fill
deck fitting is
marked WATER.
• Pressurize the fresh-
water system by
either turning On
the freshwater pump
switch (the battery
switch must also be
On).
• For the location of
the freshwater pump
switch, see the Com-
ponent Locations
section of Chapter 2
in this supplement.
• Always turn Off the
city water supply on
the dock before
leaving your boat
unattended.
• Turn Off the fresh-
water pump switch
when your boat is
not in use or when
the freshwater tank
is empty.
• Inspect and clean the freshwater filter often (the filter is located on the freshwater pump).
• If your boat is to be left unattended for a long period of time, pump the freshwater tank dry to prevent stored water
from becoming stagnant and distasteful.
• If the freshwater system needs to be disinfected, ask your dealer about treatments available for your boat's system.
