Chapter 6: Plumbing

Freshwater System

• ONLY use safe drinking (potable) water in your boat's freshwater system.
• ONLY use FDA approved "drinking water safe" hoses when filling the freshwater tank.
• NEVER use common garden hoses for drinking water.
• Read the Freshwater System
section in the Sport Boat
Owner's Manual.
• The freshwater fill deck fit-
ting is marked WATER.
• Pressurize the freshwater
system by turning On the
freshwater pump switch
(the battery switch must
also be On).
• For the location of the
freshwater pump switch, see
the Component Locations
section in Chapter 2 of this
supplement.
• Turn Off the freshwater
pump switch when your
boat is not in use or when
the freshwater tank is
empty.
• Inspect and clean the fresh-
water filter often (the filter
is located on the freshwater
pump).
• If your boat is to be left
unattended for a long period
of time, pump the freshwa-
ter tank dry to prevent
stored water from becoming
stagnant and distasteful.
• If the freshwater system
needs to be disinfected, ask
your dealer about treat-
ments available for your
boat's system.

Transom Shower

• Read the manufacturer's instructions before using the transom shower for the first time.
• The freshwater pump switch must be turned On before using the transom shower.
