If a password reentry screen appears, enter the login password, and then press [OK].

• Login user names and passwords are governed by the following rules, which the administrator must
make sure general users are aware of.
• Login user names and passwords can contain both alphanumeric characters and symbols.
• Login user names can be up to 32 characters; passwords, up to 128 characters.
• Login user names cannot contain spaces, colons or quotation marks, and cannot be left blank.
• Do not use Japanese, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, or Hangul double-byte characters.
If you use multibyte characters when entering the login user name or password, you cannot
authenticate using Web Image Monitor.
• For details about characters that the password can contain, see p.191 "Specifying the Extended
Security Functions".

Specifying Login Details

The login user name and password specified in "Address Book Management" can be used as the login
information for "SMTP Authentication", "Folder Authentication", and "LDAP Authentication".
If you do not want to use the login user name and password specified in "Address Book Management" for
"SMTP Authentication", "Folder Authentication", or "LDAP Authentication", see "Registering Folders" and
"Registering SMTP and LDAP Authentication", Network and System Settings Reference.
For details about specifying login user name and login password, see p.42 "Specifying Login User Names
and Passwords".
