Only use the front 5 and rear 6
towing points (never use the drive-
shafts or any other part of the vehicle).
These towing points may only be used
for towing: never use them for lifting the
vehicle directly or indirectly.
When the engine is stopped,
steering and braking assist-
ance are not operational.

Access to towing points
At the front
Unclip strip 1 an insert key 2 built into
the RENAULT card into the opening un-
derneath the strip, then slide it to the
left.
Unclip cover 3.
To refit it, insert the cover in its housing,
then slide it to the right.
At the rear
Unclip cover 6.

Fitting the towing hitch
Screw in towing hitch 4 fully: as much
as possible by hand at first, then finish
by tightening it using the wheelbrace.
Towing hitch 4 and the wheelbrace are
located under the luggage compartment
carpet in the tool kit (refer to the infor-
mation on the "Tool kit" in Section 5).
Do not leave the tools unse-
cured inside the vehicle as
they may come loose under
braking.
