AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL
Switching air conditioning on
or off
Press button 8 to switch the air condi-
tioning on (indicator light on) or off (indi-
cator light off).
Automatic mode is the recommended mode of use.
In automatic mode (indicator light for button 3 on), all heating and air conditioning
functions are controlled by the system.
In AUTO mode, the ventilation speed is set to maximum for the first few minutes
so that it takes effect rapidly (possibility of noise in the passenger compartment)
and is automatically reduced afterwards. You can always modify the choice of
system by pressing the other buttons; in this case, the integrated indicator in
button 3 goes out.
Return to automatic mode as soon as possible.

The displayed temperature values
show a comfort level.
However, when the vehicle is
started in hot or cold weather and
the set temperature is lowered or
raised, it is not possible for this tem-
perature to be rapidly reached, re-
gardless of the value displayed. In
particular, when the heating system
is switched on in winter, the ventila-
tion system will not immediately op-
erate at maximum, but will gradually
optimise the ventilation speed until
the engine is sufficiently warm. This
process may take a few seconds or
even several minutes.
Generally speaking, unless there is
a particular reason not to, the dash-
board air vents should remain open.
