5.4 Braking

Hand Brakes/Hands-On Brakes
WARNING!
– If the primary brakes fail for any reason, the parking
brake can be used as an emergency brake.
– Reverse pedaling WILL NOT stop the bike.
– In situations where caution is advised (heavy traffic,
intersections, etc.) hands should be kept in the "ready"
position to prepare for braking.

Make sure your hand is in ready position to use this brake.
2.
Squeeze brake handle(s)A as needed to slow or come to a
complete stop.
3.
Release when desired speed is achieved.

Disk Brakes
