Transmission
The AWD system, fitted to certain
rear-wheel drive variants, is purely
mechanical and will automatically
provide driving torque to the front
wheels when road conditions
become slippery with rain, snow or
ice etc.
While driving, the AWD indicator
illuminates during activation of the
system. If it does not illuminate or
illuminates continuously while driving,
this indicates a malfunction. During a
malfunction, the system switches off.
Have the system checked by a
properly trained technician.
When AWD is no longer required the
system automatically disengages and
normal rear-wheel drive functionality
is resumed.
