Appendix B Use Wind River WebIF to Configure the Target
Device (Optional)
This appendix guides you through using the Wind River WebIF application. WebIF is a
web-based interface used to manage wired, wireless, and 3G connectivity on
Intelligent Device Platform XT Target Devices.
How to use WebIF
1. On the Host System, open an internet browser.
2. Choose the correct path:

If you used a wireless network connection from your Host System to your
Target Device, type the following URL into the internet browser on your Host
System:

If you used a wired network connection from your Host System to your
Target Device, type the following URL into the internet browser on your Host
System:

Note: The Host System and the Target Device must be on the same subnet.
3. Most browsers present a pop-up warning box stating that the security certificate is
not recognized. Select the option to tell the browser to disregard the certificate
and connect to the Web site. In the following example, you would click I
Understand the Risks, and then Add Exception:
