Ambient Noise

Ambient noise is the ambient noise of the environment the radio is being used in. Therefore, if the radio is
being used in a very noisy environment, then the ambient noise level should be set to High.
This will lower the mic gain on the radio and thus, reduce the noise from the surrounding environment.
A low ambient noise level will increase the mic gain, and allow the receiver to hear clearer audio.

Clock and Alarm

Your radio requires that the current time and date be set in order to fully utilize the digital features.
This can be set manually or by using the Remote Time feature (see page 3-5)
From the Settings menu, scroll to highlight Clock/Alarm and press
Alarm menu appears.
