Shooting Range and Focusing

Shooting in Manual Focus Mode

When focusing is not possible in AF mode, use manual focus. You can
specify the general focal position and then press the shutter button halfway
to have the camera determine the optimal focal position near the position
you speciied. For details on the focusing range, see "Speciications"
(= 3 33).
MF Indicator
AF frame mode or size cannot be changed while focusing
manually (= 1 84). If you want to change the AF frame mode or
size, cancel manual focus mode irst.
Focusing is possible when using the digital zoom (= 1 05) or
digital tele-converter (= 1 83), or when using a TV as a display
(= 2 84), but the magniied display will not appear.
