Corner fridge
Pre-installation
First, unpack the cabinet and check it for any transport damage. Do not use a damaged cabinet.
In the event of damage, please contact the shipping company and make sure the damage is noted
on the consignment note. Check all the parts on the parts list at the back of this guide are present.
Contact your vendor in the event of damage or missing parts.
The corner fridge units require a power supply of 220-240VAC 50 Hz and must be connected to an
earthed min.10A mains socket. If the power cable is not long enough (3,6 m mains cable connected
to back wall), call an electrician to install a min. 10A socket closer to the fridge, e.g. on the ceiling
above it. Never allow the unit to be connected to an extension lead permanently. The mains socket
must be easily accessible for installation/service.
When fitting a new kitchen with a Norcool corner fridge, install the unit before the rest of the
kitchen on the site where it will stand permanently.
Installation
1. Installing cabinet
1. Floor element. Begin with the floor element. Fit adjustable feet to floor element for integration,
and adjust to the desired height in relation to plinth height of the kitchen. Check they are
level. Maximum plinth height 190mm, minimum 145mm. Freestanding corner fridges must have
adjustable feet. The floor element must be stable and level. This is essential
to ensure the other elements and door will achieve a good seal.
2. Side walls. Before fitting the side walls, check
that the lock tabs are fully engaged. Twist
the tabs right back until you hear a click. For
correct locking, turn the Allen key to approx.
145°. NOTE: The elements can creak when
locked together. Mount the side walls on
the floor element and lock. Fit ceiling
element and lock. There are
door seals fitted on all elements.
Check that they are flush in the
corners. Fit the white plastic plugs
supplied over the lock holes to conceal them.
If fitting full-cover stainless steel elements, go
directly to "Installing full-cover stainless steel
elements for freestanding corner fridges."
3. Back wall with refrigeration unit. The mechanical
element of the cooling wall must face towards the
corner in the kitchen. Lift back wall through door
opening in corner fridge and fit into opening in
back wall. Check the power cable can reach
after installation! Screw back wall into place
using the 5 white screws supplied with plastic
washers. NOTE: Press back wall firmly whilst
tightening screws.
