CS-82A Quick Start Guide
Installation
1. Make sure that power to all the devices you will be connecting @NUM1 = Make sure that
power to all the devices you will be connecting up have been turned off. You must unplug
the power cords of any computers that have the Keyboard Power On function. To prevent
damage to your equipment due to ground potential difference, make sure that all devices
on the installation are properly grounded.
2. Plug your keyboard, mouse, and monitor into the unit's Console Ports.
3. Use KVM cable sets (as described in the Cables section in the User Manual), to connect
any available CPU Port to the Keyboard, Video and Mouse ports of the computer you are
installing.
Note: If your computers use AT style connectors for the keyboard, and/or standard serial
connectors for the mouse, refer back to the note in the Cables section in the User
Manual.
4. If you choose to use external power (optional) plug the power adapter into an external AC
source; plug the power adapter cable into the unit s power jack as shown in the diagram.
5. Turn on the power to the computers.
Note: The Power On default is to link to the first computer you turn on.
