Power – Power supply
DS – Downstream (data is being downloaded)
US – Upstream (data is being uploaded)
Online – Ready for operation
Ethernet (1-4) – Ethernet port status indicator
USB – USB status indicator
Wireless – WiFi status indicator
Phone (1-2) – Telephone status indicator
1.3 Firewall
The TWG870 protects your local PC network (LAN) through a built-in firewall function.
1.4 LAN
Up to 4 PCs can be connected to the cable modem directly using Ethernet cables, and additional
PCs wirelessly through the integrated WLAN Access Point (WiFi). The PCs are assigned their
network parameters (IP address, default gateway and DNS server) by the integrated DHCP
server.
1.5 Telephony
If you have subscribed to a telephone service by upc cablecom, you can connect up to two
analogue telephone sets to the cable modem.
