    This guide will take you through each step to set up your modem. Everything you need to set up a basic connection or a wireless network is covered on the following pages: Your computer • To set up your internet connection, you’ll initially need to use the Ethernet cable. Due to the length of the cable, your computer needs to be close to the jack point. NOTE: Once you’ve established a connection using the cable, you’ll be able to set up a wireless internet connection.

    Plug in your modem • Plug one end of the grey DSL cable into the DSL port on your modem.     Confirming your account Your personal Telecom Broadband account needs to be activated. To do so: • Open Internet Explorer (or other web browser) on your computer. telecom.co.nz/broadbandsetup • Type in • Follow the online activation steps. Now that you’re online, if your computer is wireless enabled you can now set up wireless internet.
