Manual Focus

When it is difficult to get the proper focus in autofocus mode, you can adjust the focus
manually.
1. Set the focus mode switch of the lens to MF. If the lens does not have a focus mode
switch, set the focus mode dial of the camera to MF.
2. Rotate the focus ring to achieve sharp focus.
3. Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture.

Direct manual focus (DMF)

You can make fine adjustments manually after the focus is locked.
You can quickly focus on a subject rather than using the manual focus from the beginning.
This is convenient in cases such as macro shooting.

2. Set the focus mode dial to A. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus
automatically.
3. Keep the shutter button halfway down, rotate the focusing ring to achieve a sharper
focus.
Using shooting functions
(Camera Settings) → [AF-A setup] → [DMF].
